I had a 2 hour discussion with my boss about the state of our office and my employment. I think I overwhelmed him with all the topics I wanted to discuss. Then I come home to this:
opposaurus Jr thought if a towel can hang on this, so could he. He couldn’t.

In this metaphor, are you the towel that hung strong or the towel that’s crumpled on the ground?

I’m honestly surprised this hasn’t happened yet at my house.

Don't lie, it was you who tried to hang.

One of my daughters does it to the stairway hand rail. I'm hoping she's she's what her brothers did and knocks that shit off. It's a lot further fall to the bottom of the stairs than from the towel hanger

That crappy HD towel rack looks a lot nicer than a factory floor bathroom. You should offer to fix up the place for some overtime. Enthusiastic employees are much better to employ. Plus you end up with nicer things. Bosses like plans. FYI.
I’m self employed of course. No hate.

Were it not for Junior, what would you have posted about?

Too bad he doesn't understand how overpriced oil rubbed bronze hardware is :(

I don’t get what kids think about things attached to the walls. I’ve had to re-hang the towel hooks in our kids’ bathroom at least three times. The third time around, I moved them to the the studs and used 2.5" wood screws. The hooks will break before they come out of the wall again.

while that is true, it is a hell of a lot better looking than the gold colored shit that wa s on there before.

Unfortunately, polished brass is making a comeback here. But brushed bronze is also on the scene, and is much more versatile -- if you like $200 faucets.

haha dont have a stud finder so i’d have to put a nail in the wall every couple inches until i hit something. I’ve acutally done that before. I knew i would be hanging a shelf, so when i was doing paint prep I found the stud and then just puttied the other holes when i was patching other stuff.

I keep some finish nails in the junk jar for things like that.

I ... I guess my memory is good enough that I remember doing that as a kid, as well as the general impulse that made me do so despite knowing better. And I don’t know if I’ve outgrown it.
